Applying for student programming council at my University. What should by objective be on my resume?
Q. The council basically programs events from concerts to movie nights. I am applying and need to turn in my resume. I want to stand out, what should my objective be? By the way, its not a job. Its more for volunteer and school involvement.

A. If you really want to get the job I wouldn't put an objective on there. Good resumes show what you have done and what you can do, not what you hope to do if you get the job. No one puts objectives on their resume. But maybe you really want one, in which case go talk to your school's career developement office, they usually have resume writing help. Best of luck!
