What will happen to Parisian Department Stores operating in malls where Belk already has a store? Q. Now that Belk Inc. is purchasing the 38 Parisian Department Stores from Saks Inc., what will happen to the Parisian stores that operate in malls where Belk already has a presence? For example, in Citadel Mall in Charleston, SC, Parisian operates in a location vacated by Belk when Belk built a larger store in the same mall. Macy's has a presence in Savannah, GA and in Columbia & Greenville, SC and Charlotte, NC so Charleston would seem like a logical market for them to enter.
